About the Author and Illustrator
This mother/daughter team paired for the first time for this children’s book. Susan Manzke began writing in high school. She continued working with words while raising a family with husband Bob. Her weekly column in the Wisconsin State Farmer began over thirty years ago. She is the author of two Doubleday romance novels, Never Bring Her Roses and When the Spotlight Fades, and numerous collections of her columns Words in Your Pocket. The words for this book came first for Susan. Rachel Manzke, Susan’s youngest daughter and mother of the twins, brought the words to life with her photographs and drawings.
