We had a beautiful evening for Samuel’s 6 month old session. He showed off his sitting skills and also loved snuggling with mom and dad during the entire short session.
Every summer these snowbird grandparents come up to visit their granddaughters for a couple weeks in Sun Prairie. They’ve made it a tradition to get family portraits done while they are here. There’s a special bond between grandparents and grandchildren that I love to capture. These two girls adore their grandparents and loved to laugh with them.
The horrible mosquitoes made us decide for a studio/urban short session for the Gorski family and it was a perfect mix for this family. Baby Davis is just 2 months old and decided to flash me a smile for his individual pictures and the older boys had me laughing the entire time. The boys being ages 4, 3 and 2 months were perfect for a sibling picture laying down on my shag rug and 3 year old Perry made it one of my favorite pictures taken of the entire year.
I’ve been photographing the Beula family since 4 year old Anne was juts 3 months old. It’s great that they are willing to make the hour and a half drive down to Sun Prairie for their annual family pictures. This year we tried something a little different from last year and did an urban family session in downtown Sun Prairie. It was so much fun and (as always) we had lots and lots of laughs together.
The Ruben Family have been RMP VIPs since the start of RMP. I remember Sarah was the first person to hire me that I never met before. I was soooo nervous the first time I met them. Fast forward 7 years and here we are….two “big kids” with their parents.
It’s been 2 years since I’ve seen 3 year old Audrey. She is now a big sister to 1 year old Ivy. We spent 30 minutes together to get a few updated portraits of the girls together and separate. I think Audrey’s favorite part was showing me how she can twirl in her dress.
We had a beautiful evening for Ashley and Kevin’s maternity session. They received this short session as a Christmas gift from Ashley’s family! What a great idea! I’m so glad we were also able to get their two dogs to cooperate just long enough for a few images. It was a perfect night and I can’t wait to meet their little one in a month!
This was my first time meeting the Smedema family but it felt like I knew them for years. Their two young boys were so much fun and warmed right up to me right away. They made being a photographer easy and laughed at all my corny jokes. We had the perfect mix of formally posed and silly candid family portraits. And to think, all of this happened during a short family portrait session and they were in and out within 30 minutes.
Just a few weeks ago I did Oliver’s “newborn” session. Since it’s fall in Wisconsin, we had to get the full family together for family pictures during a short session during golden hour. 2 year old Sam was so excited throughout the entire session while baby brother slept through the entire thing.
I met Maxwell for the first time during my Dream Big Little One mini sessions earlier this year. He was just 5 months old but stole my heart. He is super adorable and sweet. I was thrilled when mom decided to come back for a short milestone session this fall for his one year pictures.
