I had the pleasure of photographing 8 day old Soraya in the studio. This was the 3rd newborn session I did for her momma. Little sweet Soraya was so sweet for her short newborn session. My favorite setup was with the pink hammock but her snuggling with the tiny felt bunny came in a close second.
Little baby Nash came into the studio for short newborn session at just 6 days old. His parents opted to do a short newborn session which meant we just focused on Nash and didn’t do any pictures with the parents. It was perfect for them so they could sit back and relax and still get beautiful pictures of their baby to cherish forever.
Nash’s mom asked for natural and clean set-ups for him. These are always my favorite. We started with bright white tucked in poses and then went to a couple set-ups to wrap him up when he woke up. His little smirk while in the little hammock was perfect timing.
Including grandparents in family sessions is a great idea. These are the moments that always go too fast and taking the time to setup the session to capture moments that will last a lifetime is something every family should do. This was the first time I included grandparents in a short newborn session. Seeing the grandmas and grandpa with their newborn grandson was too precious. This was Grayson’s second newborn session. He joined me in the studio a couple weeks earlier with his moms and brothers too!
Lydia came into the studio for a short newborn session at 10 days old. Short newborn sessions are 1 hour in the Sun Prairie studio for just newborn portraits. It’s perfect for a few images for birth announcements and the nursery.
Short newborn sessions are always my favorite session. It’s the perfect length to get some beautiful portraits of baby with only a small time commitment from the parents. When my sister’s BFF from high school contacted me a couple months ago to ask if I could get her in for a short newborn session I was excited. Their drive to Sun Prairie from Deerfield was just long enough that their sweet Juniper fell asleep in the car and just kept continuing to sleep through the hour session. I loved her beautiful dark (somewhat wild) hair and she looked stunning in the purple and gray.
11 day old Joash joined me in the studio for a short newborn session. I loved the feel and style of the session. Mom asked for simple, classic and neutral. He was so sweet and loved cuddling with the tiny brown bear.
Sweet 13 day old Ashlynn joined me in the Sun Prairie studio for a short newborn session. I always love short newborn sessions. It gives the parents time to sit back and relax while they watch their newborn baby get photographed for 1 hour in the studio. They end up with 2-4 different setups which is perfect for announcement photos and to have a couple of their favorites printed and hung up in their home and nursery.
I styled Ashlynn’s session for a classic and simplistic baby girl. I love the soft colors and had to include a pop of color with a quilt that I used as the background while she slept in the tiny wood crib, hugging a stuff bunny.
Miss Kenzley was just 8 days old when she came into the studio to have her first baby pictures. It was fun chatting with her mom and dad while I was taking these adorable pictures of their baby girl.
