Paxton | 16 day old baby boy in studio | short newborn session

Little Paxton came into the studio with his mom for a short newborn session. This session is 60-90 minutes in the studio and is just of baby. It’s perfect for families that want to capture images of their tiny new edition but aren’t interested in including the full family or siblings at that time. It’s a super laid back session and a fun time for me to chat with parents while they sit back on the couch and relax while I work with their baby. Little Paxton’s session went perfectly and I think I hit the nail on the head when his mom told me they like dark shade and to include grey and blue.

Jack | 2 year old family portrait session near Madison, WI

Family sessions with a 2 year old are always on the go. This is the age when the toddlers can move fast and when they have their mind set on something, there isn’t much you can do to change it. So this is why many of my family sessions including a 2 year old are a lot more active and candid. Jack’s session is the perfect session. I think we stopped moving for 30 seconds throughout the entire 30 minute short session. It was a fun session and now mom will have images to remember this active time in her son’s life.

Landon is 1 | One Year Milestone with Parents and Grandparents

I know I always say this, but it is true…it feels like just yesterday that I did Natalie and Mike’s maternity session at their house in Sun Prairie and now their little Landon is 1 year old! It was great to go back out to their house and capture this milestone in the same location. It was even more special this time around since Natalie parents were in town and we were able to get a few pictures of Landon with his grandparents.

Chase’s 18 month old milestone session | Short family session near Sun Prairie WI

I spent the beautiful summer evening trying to keep up with 18 month old Chase during his milestone session. It was a short family session so only lasted 30 minutes, but he had me moving the entire time…and thought it was hilarious. I’m so glad his mom was gifted this session from a family friend for Christmas and I was able to meet them 6 months later. Family pictures—what a great present!

Golden Hour Maternity Session | Dan and Kasia expecting twins!

After almost 7 years of doing photography, I rarely get nervous anymore before sessions. But I found myself nervous for tonight’s maternity session which was surprising since it was for close friends. I knew this session meant so much to these two and is something they’ve been dream about for years. I wanted it to be perfect. Mother nature was on my side and we ended up having a magical evening. I’m beyond happy for these two and cannot wait to have our kids grow up together.
