It was a beautiful snowy Christmas Eve when Rebecca and Marc came into the studio for Landon’s newborn portraits. He was the perfect little guy with a full head of hair and cute cubby cheeks. My favorite poses was when we did him in the baby hammock and also with his parents. Of course we had to do a Christmas theme since it was December 24th.
One special part of being a newborn photographer is getting to spend an afternoon with new parents. It’s always fun to chat during the session and hear their story. Every couple is so different but the one thing that is always the same is the love they have for their new baby. Many times new parents are still getting their barrings with being a parent at the newborn session but the parents always work together so perfectly to make sure all goes well during the newborn session.
Quintin joined me in the studio at 8 days old. Since he’s a December baby, we had to do a little Christmas setup. I think him in the hammock is my favorite though. He looks so peaceful and comfy.
Crazy to think I just saw the Bichler family just two weeks ago for their family maternity session. Baby Lainee came just 6 days later. Newborn photography is so special since these little babies are this tiny for such a short amount of time. In a blink of on eye they will be walking and talking. Big brother and sister were super sweet with their new sister. Family snuggles on the couch are always fun in the studio. And Lainee slept like a dream so we were able to get a good variety of setups too. I can’t decide which one is my favorite. She looked adorable in everything we did.
I love being a newborn photographer in Sun Prairie. I get to meet people from all over the area while capture precious photos of their baby and family. New parents Lindsey & Jonathan drove 45 minutes to get to the studio on a chilly November morning. Sweet 10 day old Brynnley may have given me a run for my money that morning, but it was well worth it. The Christmas themed set-up looked beautiful and I have a feeling will be featured on their Christmas card this year.
