Every summer these snowbird grandparents come up to visit their granddaughters for a couple weeks in Sun Prairie. They’ve made it a tradition to get family portraits done while they are here. There’s a special bond between grandparents and grandchildren that I love to capture. These two girls adore their grandparents and loved to laugh with them.
We had a beautiful afternoon for the quick outdoor session with the Wolff family. It’s been 9 months since I’ve seen half of the crew for little Miss Kennedy’s newborn portraits in the studio. It was my first time meeting the rest of the family. The four kids did fantastic. As always, the candid ones with grandma and grandpa are always my favorite.
The Hager family gifted this extended family session to grandma for a birthday present. I can’t think of a better gift for a grandma than extended family pictures. Having pictures with the full family and then also ones with just the grand kids is something that this grandma will never forget.
The Archwamety family joined me for an extended family studio session. It’s always great to included the grandparents.
It’s spring in Sun Prairie and many families are getting out to get their updated family sessions. The Boguszewski family came into the studio for a short 30-minute session while extended family was visiting to get a full family picture. Even though these pictures were done in the studio, their outfit choices were spot on and scream spring. I love it!
I always love including grandma and grandpa during sessions. It was such a fun session. We laughed and joked through the entire thing and it was over before we knew it.
Last Christmas BJ reached out to me to purchase a session for a gift for his family. Since everyone in his family is spread across several states, it took a little time to finally get everyone together but it finally took place. We had so much fun at their family home in Sun Prairie. Even Eddie the dog joined in. I think their family photo with everyone rubbing grandpa’s head is by far my favorite extended family photo I’ve ever taken. So many laughs by all.
It was a beautiful summer evening when I met the Meyer family out for their extended family session. Erik had contacted me months to set up this session as a gift for his parents 40th wedding anniversary. Full family picture are always great ideas for gifts even if the logistics of getting multiple family schedules to line up is a little tricky. This is a gift grandma and grandpa will treasure forever. And something the children will love to look back on.
We had a beautiful evening at John and Cheryl’s home in Stoughton for their extended family pictures in their backyard. We had fun and laughed the entire hour but I’m sure everyone would agree that the best moment was when Tom got down on one knee and surprised the family by proposing to Kaitlyn!
I just saw Mitchell, Andrea and baby Emerson a couple months ago for Emerson’s newborn session, but this time Grandma and Grandpa wanted to get the full family together for pictures. The short session flew by and was filled with lots of laughs.
Kathy contacted me a couple months back to set up an extended family session in the studio. All of her children and their families would be in Windsor for Thanksgiving and she wanted a full family picture before they all headed back to their homes in other states. Luckily the new studio has enough space for the 7 adults and 3 young boys.
