Allison came into the studio for her first birthday milestone session. At first she wasn’t sure about all of the lights but once she got comfortable, she was cruising fast!
Kaylani joined me in the studio for her 1st birthday milestone session. We had a lot of fun playing on the couch with her mom and dad. Then we switched things up so she could show me her birthday tutu.
We started Willa’s 1 year old milestone session with some pictures with big sister and mom. Then we got to the good part….the fall themed smash cake! At first she wasn’t sure what to do with the cake and wasn’t too interested but once she got a taste, she dove in and ate it up! I loved that mom brought in a plain white cake and we decorated it with real flowers. The pop of fall colors was beautiful and it wasn’t until the very end that Willa realized they could come off the cake and started to share them with me and her mama.
I know I always say this, but it is true…it feels like just yesterday that I did Natalie and Mike’s maternity session at their house in Sun Prairie and now their little Landon is 1 year old! It was great to go back out to their house and capture this milestone in the same location. It was even more special this time around since Natalie parents were in town and we were able to get a few pictures of Landon with his grandparents.
I spent the morning at the Memorial Union Terrace to celebrate Harutaka’s 1st birthday. For this special milestone session, his mom asked to do it at the terrace. Harutaka’s dad is a PhD studio at Madison and they’ve lived here a couple years and want to make sure they remember all of their special spots they enjoy in the city. The terrace is always a favorite of mine too since it’s so colorful, no matter what (… well, as long as the table and chairs are out).
Happy 1st Birthday Harutaka! You are the cutest little sailor around.
It’s been great to watch Sammy grow over the last year. It feels like just yesterday he was in the studio doing his newborn pictures with his stuffed Bucky Badger. He now graduated from my belly to baby group of RMP VIPs. We celebrated his first birthday at the park during golden hour for a family session plus a baseball theme smash cake that his mom made!
It’s always fun to include grandparents in sessions. This time we included them into a 1st birthday milestone session. We captured lovely portraits of her with her parents and grandparents. These are the moments to remember.
It took him a few minutes to warm up, but one he did, Asa was all smiles and ready for his 1st birthday milestone session in the studio.
It feels like just yesterday that Emma was in the Sun Prairie studio for her newborn session. She came in for her first birthday milestone session. We started with family photos and ended the session with a smash cake and a quick splash. Her sweet smile was too cute.
A first birthday is always a special milestone session for families. The Ristow family was no different and even wanted to make sure their family dog was part of the celebration. It was going to be a very warm day in Sun Prairie the day we had the session scheduled so it was great we beat the heat with a start time at 8am. Happy Birthday Fiona!
