It feels like just yesterday that Amy and Mark brought Ethan into the studio for his newborn session. We just celebrated his first birthday milestone session in the studio with a cake. He was all smiles until we brought out that cake. He was less than impressed with the cake but we still managed to get some super cute pictures of him.
Maddux joined me in the studio for his 1 year milestone session. He was all smiles, that is until we gave him cake. Apparently he is not a fan of cake but we made up for it with a big SPLASH at the end with a bubble bath. He loved every minute of the bath.
Landon came into the studio for his 1 year milestone session. We did a few individual portraits before letting him dive into his cake. He wasn’t sure what to do with it until we gave him a spoon! 🙂 We ended the session getting cleaned up in the bubble bath.
Happy Birthday Landon!
Grayson came into the studio with his moms for a milestone
—his 1st birthday! He wasn’t a huge fan of the cake but he loved splashing in the bath at the end.
It felt like just yesterday that I met Quintin for his newborn session. Hard to believe he is now one year old. He joined me in the studio (and out on main street) for his milestone session with a smash cake. The smash cake session was “snow” themed!
Cole joined me in the studio for his 1 year old milestone session with a smash cake. His mom went all out with decorations and ended up dropping them off ahead of time so I had plenty of time to setup before they arrived. This worked out well since Cole is on the GO! He’s fast and would have quickly lost interest if I made him wait to set up the background. His favorite part was the SPLASH at the end.
Brynnley’s mom wanted both outdoor fall family pictures and a smash cake session for Brynnley so we ended up meeting up twice within 10 days. Even though they had to drive up to Sun Prairie from Edgerton each time, it was worth it. Both sessions went perfectly and it didn’t push this 1 year old too far for either session. I think if we tried to do both in one day that it would have been too much for her and the smash cake wouldn’t have gone nearly as perfect as it did.
I loved her pearls and polka dots. She matched her cake perfectly and was a pro with it. I always start the smash cake session with parents on the side and tell them that they are on deck for when the baby pushes the cake away but Brynnley did the exact opposite and pulled it towards herself. She was a pro! She loved her cake but loved the “splash” part of the session even more when she got a bubble bath to clean up at the end.
We started Willa’s 1 year old milestone session with some pictures with big sister and mom. Then we got to the good part….the fall themed smash cake! At first she wasn’t sure what to do with the cake and wasn’t too interested but once she got a taste, she dove in and ate it up! I loved that mom brought in a plain white cake and we decorated it with real flowers. The pop of fall colors was beautiful and it wasn’t until the very end that Willa realized they could come off the cake and started to share them with me and her mama.
Ryleigh turned 1 year old last month and joined me in the studio for a little belated celebration. You wouldn’t guess it from the pictures, but she actually wasn’t really into her smash cake at all but it was so cute with her pink tutu and the pink cake with balloons in the background. She did enjoy a little splash in the bubble bath at the end to get cleaned up.
Happy birthday Ryleigh!
Miss Finley is one year old. Hard to believe. I still use one of her newborn photos in many of my promotion pieces. (baby hammock pose and more of my favorites from her newborn session here)
Here hair has lightened but still as thick as can be. She was a joy to have in the studio for her one year session. We did have to get creative to get her away from daddy but she eventually warmed up to the idea and then dug right into her smash cake.
