It was a beautiful evening for Jakob’s high school senior session. It wasn’t my typical senior session. Since Jakob was only looking for 1 yearbook photo, we met for a “business headshoot” session instead. It was a fast 15 minutes, but the end result was perfect…5 headshots.
I had so much fun hanging out with Mary, her sister and her mom for Mary’s high school senior portrait session. We traveled around Sun Prairie to squeeze in as many locations as possible. I can’t pick which one is my favorite. Between downtown Sun Prairie to the High School to a local park….they all looked so different. Mary’s prom dress was to die for in the wildflower field though. So beautiful.
I don’t do many high school senior sessions a year, but when I do them, I always have a blast. I recently had Alicia’s tiny baby sister in the studio for a newborn session. It was a lot of fun hanging out with her for the afternoon in Sun Prairie. Her pink Converse shoes were my favorite final touches that brought her outfit together. Loved it!
Olivia had a beautiful summer evening for her high school senior portraits. We met up at my studio and started out the night downtown Sun Prairie. Of course we had to take some photos in front of the mural but my favorites by far are by the fountain. We then headed out to the second location to change things up a bit. It was such a fun session and Olivia looked beautiful in every single location and outfit.
Last year I met Lexie and photographed her high school senior portraits (session highlights here). This year I saw her again, but it was for her little sister’s senior photos. Grace was so fun to work with. We had a beautiful evening. I’m so glad I was able to find the purple wildflowers for her. She look stunning in every location.
I met Lexie for the first time when she arrived at her Senior session. With her busy varsity volleyball schedule, I’m so glad we were able to squeeze in this short high school senior session before school started. It’s hard to believe we were able to get such a variety in such a short amount of time. We were even able to squeeze in a few of her with her younger sisters and my favorites….the one with mom and her three daughters. Now that is a picture every mom needs.

I’m always thrilled when clients drive all the way down from my hometown of Seymour, WI for a session. The 2 hour drive to Madison/Sun Prairie isn’t always easy for people to find time for but I always try to make it worth their while and find great locations. This session made me feel old since I went to high school with Lindsey’s older sister and she was just a baby last I knew of her. It was fun to spend the evening with her around Madison and Sun Prairie. Good luck with your Senior year Lindsey!
It was a lovely evening to meet up with Shelly in Sun Prairie for her senior portraits. Shelly is a senior at Verona High School and is a soccer fanatic. I wish her all the best and hope she has a wonderful senior year. Read more →
I don’t take pictures for many high school senior but I really should since I really enjoy them. It’s a nice chance in pace. And by “nice” I mean “slower” since I’m usually running a lot during children sessions. Once in awhile it’s great to have a client that I don’t have to work up a sweat to get a smile.
This senior session began with an urban location in the Atwood neighborhood in Madison, WI. We then moved to a local park just in time for golden hour.
