Willa is One! Fall Themed Smash Cake Session

We started Willa’s 1 year old milestone session with some pictures with big sister and mom. Then we got to the good part….the fall themed smash cake! At first she wasn’t sure what to do with the cake and wasn’t too interested but once she got a taste, she dove in and ate it up! I loved that mom brought in a plain white cake and we decorated it with real flowers. The pop of fall colors was beautiful and it wasn’t until the very end that Willa realized they could come off the cake and started to share them with me and her mama.

Hineline Family | fall family pictures with big kids

So many of my families that come in for their annual family pictures have little kids. It seems that once kids reach age 6 or 7 that annual family pictures dwindle away. I love that the Hineline family comes back every year for their family pictures, even if they have “big kids” now. They will be able to look back and see how the boys grew from year to year. And we still have a lot of fun ūüôā

Brynnley is one! Fall family pictures

It was Brynnley’s golden birthday the day we met for their outdoor family session so I made a point to run to the studio and fill up 1 golden balloon for her before heading to the park. At first she wasn’t too sure on what to do with it but eventually she was all smiles and had a great time with her mom and dad. She’ll be in the studio in a couple days for her smash cake session!

Shefchik Family | Annual family pictures near Sun Prairie

I originally was planning to meet the Shefchik family for their annual family pictures tomorrow but I was watching the forecast and decided it was looking a little too iffy for this weekend and asked them if they could meet me out earlier in the week. We lucked out and ended up having a fairly warm fall evening for their short session. Yes, it was overcast, but the fall calls still popped through every picture. By the end of their session it was getting pretty dark and I am in love with the moodiness of the pictures.

Jude’s short newborn session at 2 weeks old

Jude came into the studio for his newborn session at just 2 weeks old. His mom requested a low-key, relaxed session which is perfect for the short newborn sessions. No need for the parents to do anything besides sit back and just look at their adorable little baby. Jude’s beyond cute in every set-up but I must say that he loved snuggling with the tiny little bear. Maybe that is a sign for his Chicago Bear loving dad that he’ll follow in his footsteps ūüėČ
